What Makes a Strain Worth Keeping
Not every strain stays. Only the ones that hold up.
Some strains pass through. Others hold up.
At Kush CPT, we don’t stock by hype. We stock by instinct, the kind that knows when something’s just noise, and when it has real staying power.
A good strain doesn’t always shout. It settles in. It makes sense over time. It carries clarity, returnability, balance, not just loud terps or sky-high THC numbers.
What we look for:
Clean finish: no weird drop-off or awkward taper.
Taste as texture: flavour and feel in harmony.
Resonance: does it still make sense a week later? a month?
Trust in origin: grown right, cured well, never rushed.
Experience over hype: how it moves through a room, how it sits in your body.
Beyond chemistry, there’s a tactile layer, how the jar feels in your hand, how it opens, the first scent release, the grind, the roll.
Design plays a role too, not just in packaging, but in how we speak to it.
If the words don’t match the feel, we step back. Alignment matters.
Not every strain deserves to stay.
Some are a moment, they arrive, make sense for a season, and fade.
Others become part of your rotation. You don’t need to explain them. They just land, every time.
Those are the ones we keep, because they hold up, because they return well, because they align with how our people move.
What stays on shelf is what we’d keep for ourselves.
